A week to completely renew yourself, reconnect and return home grounded and refreshed, with renewed life force and practical tools to keep your energy and practice high at home.

WHAT IS VEDANTA?

Vedanta is the yoga of Self-Knowledge. It is the highest form of yoga, guiding you toward inner freedom and a deep, unshakeable stability within yourself.

Inner distress, self-judgment, addictions, doubts, cravings and habitual suffering begin to dissolve — not by suppressing, but by understanding given through the clear vision of Vedānta.

That is why this retreat combines: Yoga Asana, Meditation, Pranayama, Silence, Nature, Nourishing healthy food and the grounding presence of the natural landscape of Normandy.

Our stay?

Our place is settled in a green valley in Normandy, Mardilly. Surrounded by rolling hills, trees and open fields. The House in the Valley is a quiet, held space where nature invites you to slow down, land and turn inward. An environment that breathes calm, space and simplicity — a perfect setting to be, feel and deepen.

What you can expect.

We start the day with a morning routine. Fresh shower, cleansing techniques, followed by Pranayama, Meditation and Ritual. Afterwards, there is tea & chill time with a little snack if needed. We conclude our morning Practice with a vitalising Hatha Yoga session.

In the afternoon, classes and workshops (Vedanta, yoga philosophy and a kriya workshop) create space for self-reflection, deeper understanding and direct experience. The focus is on insight and integration. The afternoon is completed with another yoga session.

After a nourishing evening meal together, we close the day with an evening practice of Meditation and Ritual.

Between sessions, there is free time to follow your own rhythm: rest and silence, time alone or connecting with others, spending time in nature, going for a walk or settling with a book. The surroundings naturally support slowing down and coming to rest.

Natural, nourishing food is an integral part of the program. It supports cleansing, vitality and clarity of body and mind. Meals are plant-based, seasonal and nourishing — prepared with care by our co-host and house owner, Jeroen.

How the program might look like…

The program might change a little — I like to create intuitively and tune in to what’s needed in the moment.

We’ll keep enough free time as well to chill, relax and integrate the workshops and sessions.

Our location is easily accessible by car, or even more convenient by train (5–6.5 hours, €45–€85). Pick-up available at the local train station.
